The Project
WaterisLife is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing clean water to countries across the globe. With Deutsch they brought VR headsets and a virtual reality game to the rivers of southeast Asia as an educational tool to help village children learn about the hidden dangers in the water.

Our Goal
When people think of regions in need of water most wouldn't think of southeast Asia. With a wealth of rivers and green jungles one would not suspect that these areas are suffering from a lack of clean water. To address this, we expanded on the story from the trip to southeast Asia and created an interactive and informative story that will establish a connection between users and the villagers that their donations would support. 

REVEALING HIDDEN DANGERS TO USERS ACROSS THE GLOBE

The greatest challenge of the Hidden Dangers project was that there were a significant amount of moving parts and a very short timeframe to execute. Within a few months there would be a multiplatform campaign including tv, social, virtual reality, and web all of which would be created on parallel tracks. The VR focused on bringing a very important message to educate the children, the rest of the elements would be used to expand that message to the rest of the world.

The website utilizes the cinematic footage documented from the creative team's trip to southeast Asia to film the children using the VR experience and breaks the story down into chapters that each offer a different perspectives on water pollution and different ways that it effects peoples' lives. To augment this, we also created an illustrated underwater experience that allows users to dive deeper into the content and learn about each monster in a more visual environment.
